"Nancy Pelosi Brags About Defying Her Bishop to Receive Communion"

The publication she is interviewed in, The National Catholic Reporter, has much greater loyalty to the Democratic Party than to the Catholic Church.

"In a recent National Catholic Reporter (NCR) interview, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) flaunted her disobedience of Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone by saying she continued to receive Communion, despite his pastoral letter stating that she could no longer receive in his diocese."

Pelosi told NCR, “I received Communion anyway. That’s his problem, not mine. My Catholic faith is, Christ is my savior. It has nothing to do with the bishops.”

In 2022, Archbishop Cordileone published a letter stating that Pelosi must be denied Communion in the Archdiocese of San Francisco unless she repented of her support for abortion, as CatholicVote previously reported.

Archbishop Cordileone reminded Pelosi in the letter: “The Church’s ancient and consistent teaching that ‘from the first moment of conception life must be guarded with the greatest care while abortion and infanticide are unspeakable crimes.’” (NOTE - quote is directly from Vatican II, Gaudium Spes, the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World.)

He continued, “A Catholic legislator who supports procured abortion, after knowing the teaching of the Church, commits a manifestly grave sin which is a cause of most serious scandal to others.”

He then cited Canon 915 from the Catholic Code of Canon Law, writing: “Therefore, universal Church law provides that such persons ‘are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.’”

CatholicVote reported on Pelosi’s pro-choice record in 2022, outlining ten instances of her repudiation of the Catholic faith through her political stances.

You would think a case like this is cut and dry, taking the life of the unborn in abortion is the killing of a human being which starts at the moment of conception... Nancy Pelosi, knows this and is playing with fire ... Her Soul is in peril and Archbishop Cordileone is doing as he should and in love, the Love and Mercy of Our Lord extending to her a chance to repent... In failing to understand the good Archbishop by receiving the Body and Blood of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist regardless of what he has said the Former Speaker remains in grave sin... As Catholic's we must pray for her and not only that but flood our Churches to spend time with Our Lord and seek His Love and Mercy for ourselves and our nation... Saint Faustina writes in her Diary that on Sept.16th 1937 she undergoes the pains of abortion a 3rd time, Our Lord made it known to her she was making reparation for the sins of abortive Mothers... Our Lord's Love and Mercy is here for everyone even Nancy Pelosi but she must be honest with herself, God and in this case Archbishop Cordileone... Therefore let us gather in our Churches and encourage each other to spend time with Our Lord and be fed by His Word and His Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist and not be afraid...
