The annual Vigil is always held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception on the campus of Catholic University. Last year, because the March was virtual, there were only about 400 attendees.
But this year - packed with mostly college students and 20 something's.... probably about 8,000 ...
There were over 60 Naval Academy Midshipman at the Vigil.
We were told by Sr. Virginia Joy of the Sisters of Life that there would be a Mass for New York March attendees at 10:30AM at St Patrick's in Washington - a few minutes from the Mall. Celebrated by Cardinal Dolan.
It was jam packed - at least 750 people - again mostly young. It was orchestrated by the Sisters of Life who also provided the (beautiful) choir.
A little surprisingly the Mass was relatively short - Cardinal Dolan only spoke for about six minutes and the Mass ended about 11:20. Then on to the Rally on the Mall and the March.
