We deeply regret having to pass on word that on early Christmas evening Dan lost his five year battle with cancer. In the late 1980's and early 1990's Dan Brusstar was co-head of the Bi-state Operation Rescue Network (BORN) which rev'ed up the prolife movement and saved many babies and their mothers.
We express our profound heartbreak to Kathy, Joe, Suzanne, and Mary Margaret.
Additional information will be passed along as we receive it.
As one of our correspondents commented, "Interesting that Dan, who had devoted so much of his time and energies to the rescue movement and prolife causes, which was all about babies, died on the day of THE BABY........Christmas. Perhaps a small sign from God in his regard."
Rather than a picture of Dan, below are pictures of a baby he saved during the "category zero" rescue in Dobbs Ferry, New York in 1990/1991. While the abortion chamber was being non-violently blockaded by over 50 people, Dan spoke to the mother, starting with "You don't really want to be here." Dan and Fr. Joseph Irwin took her for coffee. The result was a turnaround and her baby boy was born about five months later. Trinity Parish in Mamaroneck gave aid to the family for about two years - the boy would now be about 30 years old.
We can verify the pictures. No names since this site is regularly looked at by the pro-abortion people and even all these years later they could try and harass the family.
God bless Dan in Heaven

May Dan be in his heavenly home in God, & looking down on all the children he rescued.
