Pro-abortion "Catholic" President Biden - culmination of the failure of the Catholic Episcopacy

A pro-abortion Catholic President was almost inevitable given the fecklessness of most and downright betrayal from some, of the Catholic Bishops (with the exception of a few Bishops). On this issue and many others - think defrocked "Cardinal" McCarrick.

A leading Catholic archbishop in the U.S. warned Joe Biden that he is creating “confusion” among Catholics about abortion and the sanctity of human life. The statement came Tuesday from Los Angeles Archbishop José Gomez, the president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, during an online meeting of the bishops, according to the National Catholic Reporter.

Gomez said Biden’s pro-abortion position creates a “difficult and complex situation” for Catholic leaders, the report states.

Sorry it's not difficult or complex. Quite straightforward really.

“When politicians who profess the Catholic faith support [abortion], there are additional problems,” the archbishop said. “Among other things, it creates confusion among the faithful about what the Catholic Church actually teaches on these questions.”

Gomez said the USCCB plans to form a working group, led by Detroit Archbishop Allen Vigneron, to explore the problem in more depth.

"Additional problems ... A working group... to explore the problem in more depth"? They have had 45 years to confront pro-abortion Catholic politicians. Disgraceful.

Biden’s pro-abortion agenda includes advocating for abortions without limits and forcing taxpayers to fund them. He also opposes religious freedom measures that protect Catholic charities like the Little Sisters of the Poor, which serves the poor and elderly.

Biden said he plans to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law and appoint U.S. Supreme Court justices who will support abortion on demand. He also said he would fight to end the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to pay for elective abortions – which could lead to 60,000 more unborn babies’ deaths to abortion each year.

In April, Biden went so far as to call the killing of unborn babies an “essential medical service” during the coronavirus pandemic. His health care plan would expand abortions as well by forcing insurance companies to cover abortions as “essential” health care under Obamacare.

He also promised to undo all of Trump’s progress for life, including restoring funding to the billion-dollar abortion chain Planned Parenthood.

On religious freedom, Biden’s position also is deeply troubling. Biden has endorsed anti-religious freedom policies that would force nuns, religious charities and hospitals to violate their deeply-held beliefs by funding the killing of unborn babies in abortions and potentially even by helping to facilitate their deaths.

So they need a working group to explore the problem. Double disgraceful.

Biden should be excommunicated. He is giving scandal to the Church and has become an active agent of Satan. Bishops should stand up, not just talk, but take action by denying him Communion and extracating him from the Church.

It is said that we get the government we deserve. Liberal bishops share much of the blame and may regret their lack moral leadership to late. Think Venezuela and Cuba...
