My team and I are still gathering reports from #DefundPP Rally leaders like you all over the country, but it's clear that this past Saturday's event was an outstanding success.
In all, 228 rallies were held in 45 states. So far I've gotten headcounts from 171 sites -- including yours in White Plains -- and total attendance currently stands at over 13,000!
Counter-protests were held at many of our rally locations, highlighting how seriously Planned Parenthood and their supporters are worried about this pro-life campaign to defund them.
In a handful of locations, counter-protestors even outnumbered the pro-lifers. But every indication is that overall, far more pro-lifers turned out across the United States than PP supporters.
But last Saturday wasn't really about relative crowd sizes. It was about starting a national conversation about Planned Parenthood and the reasons we believe American families would be better served if their taxpayer funding went to organizations that offer better healthcare.
Mission accomplished!
Media coverage of the rallies was amazing, especially how "on message" all the #ProtestPP leaders across the country were. I was so proud to see our carefully crafted Talking Points being repeated in story after story after story!
