Advocates for Life counter-protest Planned Parenthood teen event in Yonkers!

I would like to thank the 8 people who joined in vigil outside the Yonkers Planned Parenthood to counteract the first "teen night" sponsored by Yonkers Planned Parenthood. I would also like to thank Fr. George Kuhn, pastor of St. Joseph's Church in Yonkers, for leading us in prayer.

The bad news is that approximately 20 young people attended. The bad news is that all the children were Hispanic and African-American - showing, once again, how Planned Parenthood is targeting these particular communities. There was also another young teen who went into the Planned Parenthood van and came outside to tell us that we should get tested too. A number of us informed her that we were not doing anything that would require us to be tested. When challenged with the chastity message she said she did not want to die a 40 year old virgin (notice how the media affects these kids - you may recall that that was the title of a recent movie). She basically thought we had 10 heads for suggesting that chastity and virginity were cool. She informed us she threw away our material. I felt sorry for this young lady. You could already see that she has been very damaged emotionally at such a young age. Please pray for her.

The GOOD NEWS is that ONLY 20 teens actually showed up for the event. there are tens of thousands of teens living in Yonkers). The other piece of good news AND ENCOURAGING news - was the incident of one young teen who was going into Planned Parenthood. Our group gave him a pair of Precious Feet and a pamphlet on baby development. A short time later he came out and approached us. He was literally angry with Planned Parenthood because when he entered their facility they took the material we gave him and threw it away saying that we were hurting people and destroying lives with this information. We gave him more material!!!

We asked him why he went to Planned Parenthood in the first place - he said is was for the free pizza. He ate the pizza and took two bottles of water and then left. He was going to notify his pastor about what had transpired (I'll keep the church secret).

 This is from a Vigil by the Advocates about a year ago - over 100 people have been consistently coming to the periodic PP vigils outside their offices in downtown Yonkers.

Congratulations to our young heroes that took the streets and proclaimed the Gospel of LIFE as Blessed Pope John Paul II has asked us to do.

The group outside Planned Parenthood were college aged and older!!! Congrats to them. Planned Parenthood attempted to idoctrinate the young people into their morally bankrupt philosophy - and the local community showed it's disdain by organizing a very last-minute counter pro-life witness!
