Catholics hold rally as gay-marriage debate continues
The Knights of Columbus is holding its annual prayer rally in Albany today. Hundreds of people are praying and asking lawmakers to support them in opposing same-sex marriage and the Reproductive Health Act, which would update New York’s abortion laws in the event of action on the federal level that limits or restricts abortion. The Knights of Columbus are also praying for the state to reimburse Catholic schools for 100 percent of the costs they incur in complying with state mandates, as required by a 37-year-old state law.
