Christopher Slattery, founder and president of Expectant Mother Care: EMC Frontline Pregnancy Centers, was recognized for over two decades of untiring work on behalf of mothers in crisis pregnancies and their pre-born children.
Chris thanked everyone for the recognition he and Elizabeth Costanzo, executive director of the Right to Life Party, received that evening. Chris opened eyes when he spoke about the current efforts of New York City Council members to stifle EMC Frontline's crisis pregnancy center efforts on behalf of women.

I think everyone thinks it is just EMC...ALL CPC's in NYC are under attack....there are many wonderful ones and although EMC does wonderful work and is widely known I think we need to remember it is not just them but all that they are attacking.
