This is good coverage. Channel 12 also had a positive spin on this event. The Polish Center on Yonkers Ave. was packed; 600 people. Great speakers, great event.
We will be doing a longer posting on this event later this week.
Here's the Journal News coverage, consider going to the article comments section and leaving a message.
Yonkers Respect Life Week begins
Bonopartis, who became the director of a post-abortion outreach ministry called Lumina, was one of several speakers, including Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino and state Sen. Ruben Diaz, D-Bronx.
"Pro-choice means pro-abortion," Diaz, an Evangelical reverend, said in a forceful speech, "and pro-abortion means I want to kill babies."
Astorino told the crowd he appreciated what they were doing "for the unborn children of the world."
Mentioning his 3-month-old daughter, he added, "Any person who has ever held a little child, especially in the delivery room, will fight, or should fight, for the sanctity of life."
Diaz called on the audience to support only politicians who were anti-abortion, while adding that he would continue to fight for traditional values and against same-sex marriage.
