Rockland County pro-lifers are ahead of the curve when it comes to almost all pro-life action - whether it's helping women in crisis preganancies or political and on-the-street action to promote a culture of life.

"What rallies us at all times is the dignity and value of each and every person from conception to natural death," said the Rev. Brendan Gormley of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Congers. "We realize life is a gift. We're called to treasure that life and respect it."
Buses will take Rockland residents to the event. One bus, which will carry students and parents from Albertus Magnus Catholic high school in Bardonia, is already reserved in full, said Stony Point resident Eileen Peterson, who is helping to organize the trips.
Another bus will leave from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Spring Valley at 5:45 a.m. Seats are available.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for students. People who can't afford the bus fare still are welcome, as people have donated money to "adopt a marcher," Peterson said.
Peterson called opposing abortion a "human rights issue," one that has been taken up by youth.
"This is no longer so much our cause anymore," Peterson said. "It's more the youth because they're the survivors of choice."
