"The people I've met in the pro—life movement are different than the media would have you think they are," Mrs. Anderson said. ... These are salt—of—the—earth people who have dedicated their lives to giving witness for life and against abortion. They're extremely generous, wonderful people." She also noted that prayer plays a central role in their work.
Mrs. Anderson is one of five co—directors of the Hudson Valley Coalition for Life. She said that her goal is not to see pro—life work "as a movement, but to see it as that one person who is faced with a critical decision."
"Abortion epitomizes hopelessness; it says to women, "You can't do it, there are no other solutions,' "
"We can say, "We're there for you. There's hope.' "
