Richard Fuerst who participated in Mt. Kisco's Life Chain tells a remarkably moving story of one young man's pro-life witness that day. Rich was holding the sign, "Pray for an end to Abortion," when a young man in his 20s or 30s with Down Syndrome was passing by. He knelt down in front of him and actually began saying a few prayers. Rich, who tells of choosing the sign after first considering several others, has a much-loved grandaughter who is a Down Syndrome child. Rich was so touched by the humble spirit of this young man, he shook his hand and said, "Thank you for doing that." The young man said, "Thank you for doing this."
Here is the Sunday afternoon action in downtown Mt. Kisco
Richard Fuerst, Pam and Alan Mehldau and Pat Sterzen close the day with smiles and a message of hope. Life is a beautiful thing.
And here's the action in Rockland, along with a story and video on the Journal News website.

To all those hundreds of people who came and brought baby items for Birthright, Good Counsel Homes and Care Net, WE THANK YOU! The theme was:
PREVENT CHILD ABUSE, PROTECT THE UNBORN. What love was flowing. What joy in the witness for Life. God was so there. Please pray for a young girl named Jamie. She came to our Rockland County Life Chain with a sign that said :My Body, My Choice" She is very thin and such sadness was present . Jamie had a tatoo on her arm of a hard looking blach haired girl, just the face and tears flowing down the face with red blood inside the tears. This young girl has had much sorrow in her life. Please pray that God send her someone who will let her meet Jesus.
