Palin's nomination is very important for the pro-life cause. Win or lose, and we certainly hope the McCain/Palin ticket wins, this is a teachable moment for the right to life.
This means the vice-presidential debate will be between a pro-life feminist Evangelical woman, and Joe Biden, a pro-abortion "Catholic" man. We can only hope the issue gets a full airing in the debate.
And isn't it tragic for those of us who are Catholics, that we need to depend on an Evangelical woman to carry the prolife water against an ardent Catholic abortion advocate?
